Performance and Physiology Assessments

Banff Sport Medicine offers a variety of performance and physiology testing to help optimize your training.

We provide you with meaningful data that will help you understand your baseline, individualize your training, and maximize your potential.

Blood Lactate Threshold Testing

Lactate testing is a method of measuring appropriate cardiovascular training intensities so that ‘training zones’ can be established and training adaptations can be tracked over time.

The lactate levels are used to determine your ideal heart rate zones and workload at given intensities so that you can optimize the time and effort you put into training. With established aerobic and anaerobic thresholds, you are able to target your training to maximize the adaptations in your cardiovascular system to improve your performance.

VALD Force Plate Testing

VALD’s ForceDeck Dual Force Plate System utilizes force plates to detect and measure forces exerted onto the plates during movement or exercise.

This system allows customized data-driven programming to optimize rehabilitation and athletic performance, correct imbalances, and reduce the risk of injury.
