Allied Health Service – Performance & Physiology Assessments

VALD Force Plate Testing

VALD’s ForceDeck Dual Force Plate System utilizes force plates to detect and measure forces exerted onto the plates during movement or exercise.

This system allows customized data-driven programming to optimize rehabilitation and athletic performance, correct imbalances, and reduce the risk of injury.

ForceDecks can be used to detect and assess over 20 different movements from balance assessments to squats, double-legged hops, single-leg hops, isometric strength, and various functional tests such as sit-to-stand and push-ups.

Movements can be broken down in their concentric, eccentric, and isometric phases with data compared to baseline testing to assess progress, or compared to VALDs normative data based on millions of data points. This normative data allows comparisons to population averages.

Appointment Information

What to expect

ForceDeck testing is now being offered as part of our standard physiotherapy treatment or as a stand-alone assessment.

Stand-Alone ForceDeck Assessment

During this 60-minute assessment, one of our kinesiologists will evaluate your strength, power, balance, and symmetry using a battery of force plate tests.

The data from these tests can identify hidden gaps in your performance and provide clear insights. With this information, your customized training program can be optimized to reduce your injury risk and improve your capacity and performance.
