Multi-disciplinary Clinic

Spine Assessment Clinic

The goal of our multi-disciplinary spine assessment clinic is to improve the speed of access to specialized assessment and treatment for patients with spinal diseases and injuries of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.

Our team will assess your condition, coordinate necessary investigations, and optimize the care you require.

We will also ensure you are referred to the most suitable healthcare provider/s for ongoing management and treatment.

What To Expect

Referral for an assessment at our Spine Clinic involves a comprehensive assessment by a Sport Medicine Physician, Physiotherapist, and Kinesiologist (Strength & Conditioning Coach).

It is anticipated that you will be in the clinic with our team for approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.

After your initial assessment, you will also receive a complimentary 45-min follow-up session with the kinesiologist. This must be used within 60 days of your initial appointment.

Initial Visit Goals

The focus of your first visit will be to evaluate your primary area of concern.

We aim to provide you and your referring healthcare provider with a clear diagnosis, care pathway recommendations, and any necessary referrals for further assessment or treatment of your spinal condition.

Non-surgical treatment: Most spine related pain does not require surgery. If it does not appear that a referral for a surgical consult is warranted, we will provide appropriate treatment recommendations, referrals, and a follow-up plan tailored to your condition.

Surgical considerations: If you are found to be a candidate for a surgical assessment, you will be referred for a formal consultation with a spine surgeon. Please note, a referral to a surgeon does not necessarily mean that surgery is required or will be recommended.
