The surgeons at Banff Sport Medicine perform knee surgeries such as: Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction, Posterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction, Medial Patellofemoral Ligament Reconstruction or Imbrication, Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy, High Tibial Osteotomy, and Knee Arthroscopy including Meniscal Repair.
Banff Mineral Springs Hospital is an ASA level 1-2 hospital in terms of anaesthesia risk, and therefore we may not be able to offer surgery to patients with health issues or those over 60 years of age.

The surgeons do not perform any joint replacements and patients that are suffering with severe osteoarthritis should be referred to an Alberta Hip and Knee Clinic for the most appropriate care (http://albertahipandknee.ca/dnn/).
All surgical patients must review and follow the Pre-operative Surgery Instructions (orange sheet) which you can find in your surgery information folder.
